Mohammad Rashid
Chief Operating Officer, Govology Australia
An engineer by training and a commercial leader by career, Mohammad makes sure what Govology builds and how the deal around it works are designed together from the first conversation.
At Govology
Mohammad leads operations, delivery governance and commercial partnerships across Govology’s work with banks, government and enterprise clients. He is usually the person a partner deals with day to day once a relationship is in place: agreeing scope and terms, standing up the operating model and keeping delivery accountable to what was promised.
He is the commercial lead for Ekush Pay, Govology’s rail-agnostic payments orchestration platform built on Bangla QR, where he owns partner bank relationships, commercial structure and the merchant onboarding model.
Commercial leadership
Before Govology, Mohammad led sales and business development at Allphones, one of Australia’s largest independent mobile retail networks. The role carried revenue accountability across a national, multi-site footprint and taught him the operating discipline that distributed businesses depend on: channel growth, partner management and getting the detail right at volume.
Trade and investment
He has structured and executed trade dealings between Australian counterparties and partners across Europe and Asia, working through supplier negotiation, contract terms, logistics and settlement across different currencies and regulatory regimes. He has also been involved in establishing an investment fund and portfolio, contributing to its operating structure and governance.
